At one time I thought I had some video footage of the early morning surge to the inner city staffing agencies that occurs six days a week in Edmonton. I do have some photographs though and it does shed some interesting light on what it means to be dependent upon inner city staffing agencies for your employment.
Not to mention that I have approached every single one of them with business cards and offers to work with them for bettering their clientel and or using my websites to attract different clientel. The end result was still not call back and certainly no job postings. I guess they are happy with the status-quo that is prevelent in today's class centric economy.
Hmm I have to reboot to get into my Ubuntu distribution as applicaitons for photo editing or actually getting anything other than playing games on this common OS just blows. BRB. Okay back with the contrast/brightness enhanced images.
The time is around 4:30 AM. The setting - downtown Edmonton. Inner City Core. The surroundings... Less than reassuring. Have a safe day at work. No doubt safer than your night.
So the next time you see a job search sign advertising a measly wage like this keep right on going. It's all about how much you can put in your pocket when it is all said and done. Staffing agencies should be unionized.
